Cost: $0.00
Level: 10

First Session: Wednesday -- April 20th, 2011 -- 7:00 PM
[Eastern Time]

Approx. Length: 4-5 sessions

There are at least 5 versions of Tomb of Horrors
This is the first section of the Tomb of Horrors 4th edition adventure for level 10 players. The adventure was purposely split into 4 parts that jump between levels and is not meant to be continuous.

This super-adventure is a completely new adventure, written taking into account the long history and background story of the Tomb of Horrors. It is not a conversion of the original Tomb of Horrors.

May 8, 2011 10:54 PM -        AndySAE: i'll be there...
May 8, 2011 7:49 PM - T Michael: Yes everyone, Monday (tomorrow) at 7pm at Cafe Au Bon Gout on Fifth Avenue at 30th Street.
May 8, 2011 2:32 PM - John McCullough: So, we are definitely playing on Monday, 7pm at the Cafe right? See you guys there.
May 4, 2011 1:03 AM - John McCullough: I'm good with the one week delay.
May 3, 2011 10:21 PM -        AndySAE: We must play with Tang, though I trust him not....
May 3, 2011 8:51 PM - T Michael: Volker and Andy have voted for postponing the next session to Monday, May 9th. So that is when we will pick it up.
May 3, 2011 4:24 PM - T Michael: Scott, sorry for the conflict. I love having Tang! in the game and am willing to postpone to next Monday, but would like to offer a vote to the other players.
May 3, 2011 12:12 PM - Scott p: can I request a move to Thursday, or a one week delay, the other game I'm committed to has already been from pillar to post trying to schedule and I don't know if they can handle another change.
May 2, 2011 6:18 PM - John McCullough: Cafe Au Bon Gout is at 30th and 5th.
May 2, 2011 11:13 AM - John McCullough: Yeah, we had discussed the date change last week, but hadn't finalized it.
May 2, 2011 8:22 AM - Scott p: oh no! I have another game on Wednesday, this game was on Monday until recently, no? help!
May 1, 2011 8:11 PM - T Michael: Hi Scott and everyone, we are meeting on Wednesday, May 4th at 7 pm. Location was going to be my place, but this week does not work for my family, so let us try the place you and John mentioned.
May 1, 2011 3:33 PM - Scott p: hey i think we're playing tomorrow, but i don't know where....
Apr 26, 2011 8:12 AM - John McCullough: Michael D - Bummer! I hope you're alright.
T Michael - could you edit the rsvp date so I can officially commit to the game? Thanks.
Apr 25, 2011 11:56 PM - Michael DeFelice: I'm sorry guys, I had to be rushed to the ER today, hopefully I can make the next time if possible.
Apr 25, 2011 3:16 PM - John McCullough: I can bring some graph paper with 1" squares and a marker.
Apr 25, 2011 11:33 AM - T Michael: I look forward to seeing everyone to tonight at Citi Center. Does anyone have a battle mat they can bring? I left mine at home by mistake.
Apr 25, 2011 8:00 AM - Scott p: halfway there he realized although he'd remembered his rum he forgot his sword, finished battling a bullette with a broken bottle and was about to turn back to get his sword, when he noticed something protruding, from the guts of the beast, he pulled it out, thought, one longsword is pretty much as good as the next, and kept on his way.
Apr 25, 2011 7:55 AM - Scott p: metagame request, to the strikers, train thievery. anyone with a wiz mod perception.
TANG!!!! the swashbuckling swordmage normally wouldn't be caught dead playing errand boy for the eladrin court, but the recent upheaval in the astral sea has made for rough waters even by pirate standards; so when his old friend brevan called upon him for an undertaking that would almost certainly result in his death, he said, "I doubt it," packed up some extra rum and hauled his sorry ass to the feywild.
Apr 24, 2011 5:44 PM - John McCullough: T Michael, I can play now, and I would love to, but the RSVP is closed. I'll see you tomorrow.

Apr 19, 2011 10:38 AM - Kenny P: 8 AM?! ... hmmm okay!
Apr 19, 2011 8:38 AM - T Michael: I apologize for the late change, but my business trip to the West Coast extended and I cannot DM this Wednesday. Hopefully, everyone can switch to Mondays. Maybe you can play now John.
Apr 18, 2011 11:52 PM - Michael DeFelice:
Apr 16, 2011 12:58 AM - Michael DeFelice: I am playing a half-orc monk, don't know how to add the character
Apr 10, 2011 10:27 AM - T Michael: Sorry for any timing confusion. These game sessions will start at 7:00 pm, not 9:00 pm.
Apr 9, 2011 7:54 PM - John McCullough: Bummer, looks like I won't be able to make this one. I hope the Council of Elders isn't too disappointed with Brevan!
Apr 8, 2011 9:59 PM - T Michael: The Garden of Graves contains dangers and evils beyond your reckoning. Tread not unless you bring creativity and cunning.
Apr 4, 2011 11:42 AM - John McCullough: We're getting close to starting time... any ideas on the game dates?
Mar 24, 2011 5:40 PM - T Michael: I love the creativity with which people are playing with these campaign facts.
Mar 24, 2011 5:39 PM - T Michael: During the Orcus wars, the continent (called "Gaea") saw an influx of Shadar-Kai and Githyanki (who brought red dragons with them) as humans needed more allies. Tieflings are viewed with suspicion on the mainland. Warforged were part of the old imperial Boeotian army and have been manufactured once again.
Mar 24, 2011 5:36 PM - T Michael: Additional color on the campaign: eladrin, elves, humans descended from the boeotian empire (like Volker's warlord), dragonborn, and hobbits have a very strong alliance. The Dwarves turned their backs on their allies corrupted by mining deeper and deeper in search of elusive wealth.
Mar 24, 2011 2:14 PM - Kenny P: The Raven Queen's demise shook the underworld, awakening a maiden who has lain astride the shadowy line between life and death for four winters.
Mar 22, 2011 7:01 PM -        AndySAE: Not sure what I'd play yet (if I am in the game), but possibly an Elf Ranger or a Dwarf "Something or Other".
Mar 22, 2011 12:28 PM - Ross H: Ah, and I just noticed you'd already put forward a leader character! Let me consider alternative options...
Mar 22, 2011 10:44 AM - Ross H: Maybe leave the interested list and rejoin?
Mar 22, 2011 10:42 AM - Volker Detering: I find myself unable to submit the information for "Character" and "Days/Time you can't make
or offer place to play." What am I missing?
Mar 22, 2011 10:38 AM - Ross H: My goodness, it sounds like there could be some interesting stories to learn there! Bertie the Gnomish Bard would be thrilled to record this journey! (Unless I change my mind to another character :P)
Mar 22, 2011 10:24 AM - John McCullough: Brevan, an eladrin knight of the Autumnal Court, will gladly take up the cause.
Mar 22, 2011 10:04 AM - T Michael: a popular new order of paladins and warpriests has emerged leading a self-righteous inquisition which hunts the land for those that betrayed the cause.
Mar 22, 2011 10:00 AM - T Michael: For roleplaying prep, background, and character development, please note that the world of this campaign takes place after the death of the Raven Queen and Orcus (the culmination of the epic series running from Death's Reach through Prince of Undeath). A new god of death has emerged, but he is removed and still a mystery. The land is filled with strife and shaken belief. Forces of chaos, evil, and criminal self-interest stir. Among the lawful good parts of the world, a new order of paladins
Mar 21, 2011 6:01 PM - Volker Detering: Gnaeius Buttus Pompeius, a human warlord, will be happy to assist the Court of Elders.
Mar 21, 2011 5:31 PM - T Michael: The Eladrin Court of Elders has summoned you to their palace in Carandor, one of the Great Elven Cities of East. The trade route to Hessex has been imperiled by strange attacks and there is concern that a sacrosanct eladrin burial ground may have been compromised. This is an adventure for a 10th level party, but the instructions indicate that to give a fuller Tomb of Horrors feel to the adventure you may want to start at level 8 or 9. I leave that to the party to decide.
