Jan 8, 2012 4:15 PM - Tracy: @Romo...Caleb has spent the last few months hunting down the remaining Denarians inside NYC. With the help of Sansa and a others you chose for your missions you have helped recover several more coins to put into the churches vaults. Moonflower came to you with a coin as well. How did this exchange work out? What were your adventures like?
Jan 8, 2012 4:13 PM - Tracy: @Josh... Moonflower has spent the last few months confronting her new 'host' Inarriel. Inarriel has told you that he is trying to find a way to redeem himself and regain his status as an angel in heaven. He has chosen you because of your counseling abilities and he believed in your ability to help him. You have successfully restored him to his status. Think about how this happened. You are still sponsored by Inarriel and you should look at the 'Soulfire' ability.
Dec 15, 2011 7:26 PM - Tracy: All of you that are playing in the next one (or even if you are not but still interested), I've decided instead of picking up immediately where we left off, I'm going to move things along the time line so that the exact amount of time that has passed since our last game and Our Story will be equal. Send me an email about what has happened since then and we can work it into the next adventure.
Nov 15, 2011 12:08 PM - Tracy: I posted the next session. We can work the time out if it doesn't mix with everyone's scheduling.
Nov 15, 2011 11:30 AM - Rob P: Great summations Kent!

Tracey can't wait till the rest of the campaign! Gonna be checking daily to jump on as soon as possible :)
Nov 13, 2011 11:08 AM - Tracy: New Recruits: Knights of the Cross are back up to 2 and Denarian hosting has shifted a bit. White Council spying on Unseelie, Unseelie spying on White Council.
The Were Guild is in turmoil and we are no closer to discovering ♪♫'where have all the leaders gone - ooooooo'♪♫
To be continued...
Nov 13, 2011 11:03 AM - Tracy: I just wanted to say thanks again everyone. I had a super awesome time running this and I hope you all had fun playing it. I realize sometimes its inevitable for some characters to get more limelight than others therefore I make it a point to focus the next chapter on those that may not have felt like they had as much involvement in this one as they would have liked. Trust me there is a lot going on in the Were Guild, White Court, and mysterious others....
Nov 13, 2011 6:25 AM - kentmagus: Best parts: Deacon Godfrey?O-Toole? offering Moonflower the help of a good therapist, Moonflower flirting with the cops to distract them.
Highlights: Brandon creating a whole pile of shifting swords to rain down from the sky, Eria having chalk-mail, the werejaguar being carried off by an army of monkeys, Lucas shattering the veil and killing the warlock in one stroke of the sword.
Nov 12, 2011 10:54 AM - Rob P: Although I haven't experienced many other systems, Tracy you most definitely made Dresden my most favorite by far. I love how I feel the system causes characters to evolve and their personalities to "level" is more important than actual leveling. All the ideas I've had so far for that refresh point are directly responsible from the events that occurred in game :)
Nov 12, 2011 1:25 AM - thekraftykat: Man, I had a GREAT time! Tracy, I thought you did a Legendary (+8) job as a GM. I thought everyone did a amazing job at Role Playing and playing up their Aspects. I can't wait to continue. I think I'll keep my character, but I might want to change an aspect or two that applies directly to one or more the PCs in the game. I'm going to think really hard on how to spend that new refresh point. SWEET!
Nov 10, 2011 4:38 PM - Rob P: I'll do my best to get there asap!
Nov 10, 2011 4:22 PM - Tracy: Same Bat Place; 6 o'clockish start time. :)
Nov 7, 2011 10:21 PM - kentmagus: Best part: Moonflower "casting" a spell. HIghlights: Seidr rune magic, deacon passing off birds talking as PTSD, falling stone gargoyle, werecat talking to crazy hot dog vendor,
Nov 7, 2011 5:05 PM - Vinh H.: if there's any chance you'll have space for another player thurs, please email me.

i love the dresdenverse and would love a chance to play a game in it.
Nov 7, 2011 10:04 AM - Tracy: Thanks everyone for making this such a cool experience. Now I can finish the details to the adventure using our city and characters. I can't wait for Thursday, we'll pick up directly where we left off.
Nov 6, 2011 1:16 PM - Josh M.: Yeah, the whole city creation experience was a lot more fun than I expected. I'm really looking forward to next week.
Nov 6, 2011 1:08 PM - Rob P: Had a blast during city creation, and already have some ideas how that "fallout" will define my character! lol
Nov 5, 2011 4:53 PM - Romo: Gonna be a bit late. Traffic is crazy.
Nov 5, 2011 11:19 AM - Tracy: Today's the day! :) Remember we start at 5 o'clock at Cafe Au Bon Gout on the corner of 30th and 5th avenue. I'm looking forward to seeing y'all and figuring out the who, what, where, and why of our story. :)
Nov 3, 2011 11:07 AM - thekraftykat: Howdy All! I'm super excited about playing! I'm good with NYC as our playground. :-) I have a couple of ideas for characters, but I want to see how our city creation goes before I make up my mind. OOOOOh, I can't wait to play.
Nov 1, 2011 7:53 PM - Tracy: So with 4 votes out of 7 so far declaring New York I think its safe to say that that will be our stomping ground for this. Super Cool. We all know the area and we all can be very creative. If anyone has the time our inclination here is a good podcast for city creation.
Nov 1, 2011 7:22 PM - Tracy: I hope you guys are as excited as I am!!! In the past year some of my favorite gaming experiences have come from this game and I hope to be able to create the same sense of fun, suspense, and heroic awesomeness from y'all that I've come to know and love. I'm also excited that KraftyKat has joined our group. Her and I have been part of a Dresden gaming group since before it was even 'officially' released. Welcome Kay! :)
Nov 1, 2011 6:19 PM - Rob P: Lol suits me fine. East village is one of my main haunts in real life :)
Nov 1, 2011 4:22 PM - Tracy: My last group had accorded central park as neutral grounds and Summer held the west side museums while Winter held the east side.
Nov 1, 2011 4:20 PM - Rob P: Lol makes me wonder where summer and winter court would be holed up. Maybe central park for summer? Lol
Nov 1, 2011 4:00 PM - Tracy: I think popular consensus is NY, however part of the charm is using real places and building our world around them...like what about the missing floor of the empire state building or ellis island accorded neutral grounds, etc. :)
Nov 1, 2011 3:57 PM - Romo: I think I'm gonna do what D is doing and come and create the character with you guys. lol.
Nov 1, 2011 3:39 PM - Rob P: Lol well thanks to harry you won't have to worry about that anymore.
Nov 1, 2011 3:23 PM - kentmagus: I vote NY. Just with a different city name, because I don't want to pass Times Square wondering if I'm going to be eaten by the Red Court.
Nov 1, 2011 1:40 PM - Romo: I think NYC is a great idea
Nov 1, 2011 11:36 AM - Tracy: I also vote NY unless we all have another common city in our collective backgrounds that we know really well.
Oct 31, 2011 11:58 PM - Rob P: my vote is for new york. would be cool to see my home in a magical slant =)
Oct 31, 2011 8:14 PM - Tracy: Any ideas to as what city we want to play in? If we choose New York it's cool and easy because we all know certain aspects of the city and creation will be faster, but if other people have a different idea we can vote on it and I can bring a lot of research and visual materials to the first session to help us flush out our city. :)
Oct 31, 2011 4:01 PM - Tracy: The rules are designed to be very flexible according to 'flavor text' its one of the best and easiest parts about running and playing the game. It also is one of its most interesting aspects as you can have 2 identical players and based on role playing have no idea that they are doing the same things.
Oct 31, 2011 3:59 PM - kentmagus: I was looking for ideas at the DFRPG Spellcasting System for my Warden. I was amazed at the flexibility. You can model any system of magic from it from Dr. Fate to a M:TG summoner.
Oct 31, 2011 3:26 PM - Tracy: I'm so excited for this weekend! Please note that we are going to start our story shortly after the events of "Aftermath" from 'Side Jobs' but just prior to events in 'Ghost Story'. For those unfamiliar with the series that means no Red Court Vampire characters or 1/2 vamps.
Oct 26, 2011 9:45 PM - Tracy: I'm also going to tie in some of your aspects to the world we create. Your aspects will include either major locations or people we place in our world. :) The first session is for us to flush all of this out before we begin playing.
Oct 26, 2011 9:44 PM - Tracy: Absolutely! Even those that show up with characters won't be finished as we have to flush out aspects and skills and the city we decide to play in. I'm going to do something slightly different, and instead of basing all aspects off of back stories with other characters...
Oct 26, 2011 9:36 PM - Deirdre: So, is it cool if I show up to the first session without a character, but with some ideas and themes?
Oct 26, 2011 9:15 AM - Jason P.: The grad school waters are rising, and I have rehab for my knee, and a whole bunch of other stuff going on. I'm really sorry to miss this, I had a great time last time. Hopefully things will open up after the new year and I can come to a session again.
Oct 24, 2011 12:16 PM - kentmagus: Yep. Warden of the White Council was the -only- part that I was definite on. So I'm currently leaning toward the magic sword option.
Oct 23, 2011 11:28 PM - Tracy: And an actual warden eh? :) Are you going balls out refinement or are you going to have a magic sword?
Oct 23, 2011 11:27 PM - Tracy: It's called Cafe Au Bon Gout. It's located between 29th and 30th on 5th Ave. :)
Oct 23, 2011 9:33 PM - kentmagus: I can't find the location where the event is being hosted.
Oct 23, 2011 8:32 AM - Tracy: Ok I've rescheduled the start date so hopefully we are all able to play again. I'm looking forward to this, I've got some special Dresden surprises those of you familiar with the books are going to love and those that aren't should still be ready to have their minds blown. :)
Oct 23, 2011 8:03 AM - Deirdre: Ditto what Romo said!
Oct 21, 2011 7:48 PM - Romo: If we could make it a little later that would be great. like 4 or 5? Helping some friends move that day.
Oct 20, 2011 1:58 PM - Josh M.: oop, meant the 5th. Yeah, that's fine. afternoon works.
Oct 20, 2011 1:56 PM - Rob P: Looking forward to the game! Can't wait to seeing everyone's characters!
Oct 20, 2011 1:54 PM - Rob P: That weekend I'm pretty flexible, so 2pm would be fine, or if Sunday is decided I'm good with that too.
Oct 20, 2011 1:47 PM - Tracy: If we do it on the 5th I was thinking of a 2pm start time if that works.
Oct 20, 2011 1:41 PM - Josh M.: I think I can do the 6th as well.
Oct 20, 2011 1:37 PM - Rob P: Saturday the 5th is good for me! Just curious, why time of day you thinking?
Oct 20, 2011 10:22 AM - Tracy: Would Saturday the 5th work for everyone instead of Friday the 4th? I could run a little bit longer on that day to ensure we get through the first adventure and city/character creation.
Oct 17, 2011 3:27 PM - Romo: Also Thursday 3rd would not work since I will be on the bus home
Oct 16, 2011 5:48 PM - Romo: Generally nights work great its just that one and possibly that saturday are booked, other than that I'm open any other night
Oct 16, 2011 12:27 PM - Tracy: Romo,I want you to be able to join. What works out for you? I'll see if it works for the group. :)
Sep 21, 2011 7:33 PM - Jason P.: That sword is so awesome though! As a scholar of Church history, I am very aware that there are other possible Christ-related artifacts. I've been imagining ways to incorporate the foreskin of Christ into a badass weapon, or other artifact of holy power.
Sep 21, 2011 2:15 PM - Romo: Also WERE-ELEPHANT. calling it
Sep 21, 2011 2:14 PM - Romo: you could also have some other whole other holy item of power if you wanted. A Messenger of God doesn't have to be a Knight of the Cross.
Sep 21, 2011 1:30 PM - Jason P.: I'd like to play the same Messenger of God character, which is funny because he's also supposed to have a Sword of the Cross. Or we could do play it where it's my Sword that's stolen, and God has put me on the spot wondering if I am called to get it back or to let it pass to another. Or something.
Sep 12, 2011 3:03 PM - Tracy: It's what makes the game special. When you create your own campaign setting everyone is already in touch with who the NPC's are, important locations, and just how messed up your city is. It also helps set the stage for how you know your companions. It takes away the DM's dreaded, "So how do you know each other..."
Sep 12, 2011 3:00 PM - Romo: I'm excited to do the whole shebang with the city creation stuff!
Sep 12, 2011 2:27 PM - Rob P: Now im tempted to make a werepigeon instead for fun. Can take poison claws and inhuman toughness and recovery to truly represent those rats with wings lolol
Sep 12, 2011 10:44 AM - Tracy: Sounds super awesome, the cool thing about this adventure is there is a lot of leeway in character creation to make a very unique party. Check out the shapechanging templates (p. 82 - Your Story) for power prerequisites and we'll move on from there.
Sep 12, 2011 10:39 AM - Rob P: Still got A LOT of reading to do before I'm fully confident with the character creation, but so far I'm thinking of a were raven. Saw it mentioned in the book and thought it a cool concept :)
Sep 6, 2011 4:56 PM - Tracy: One of the Swords of the Cross has gone missing. The Order of the Blackened Denarius has been spotted around town. Bishops, Rabbis, Priests, ranking members of local Wiccan groups, and other religious leaders are disappearing. The streets are bad and getting worse, a mandatory curfew has been imposed begining at sundown. Are your thresholds safe? Are you going to let some baddie lose in your city? Are you 'hu'man enough to do something about it?
Sep 6, 2011 4:43 PM - Tracy: This is a homemade adventure, not the pregenerated one. This starts you off at the Submerged Power Level with 10 Refresh points and 35 Skill points. 1st session we will create our city and characters as well as begin to play.
