Winter of the Witch
Cost: $0.00
Level: 22

First Session: Tuesday -- January 10th, 2012 -- 7:00 PM
[Eastern Time]

Approx. Length: 4-5 sessions variabl

An excellent intro to Epic Adventuring. The story is good, the encounters are cool. One of the most epic dragon fights ever. But, get ready for 2 hour fights, this is epic.

Unseasonable cold has arrived in the land -- a winter of deadly fury. Crops have withered on the vine, and the people of the land are suffering. The strange new winter has continued to spread, inexorably creeping south. If heroes don't rise soon to investigate the deadly chill, more and more people could die.

Feb 5, 2012 9:02 AM - John McCullough: I had a blast. That dragon fight was awesome. For me scheduling an hour to finish up the last fight would be pretty hard. I'm happy to let sleeping dogs lie and get some resolution through fiction. Good game, all.
Feb 5, 2012 2:19 AM - Jason P.: It's my fault, I should know to bail. I just wanted to see the game through to the end, for me and for everyone. I think we might have gotten through it all if it wasn't for the treant fight. It seemed like they were just kinda there for the sake of it. But the fight on the shelf was worth the price of admission.
Feb 4, 2012 4:04 PM - Capt_Dan: ...closer to death...
Feb 4, 2012 4:04 PM - Capt_Dan: The Real problem is how do we resolve this? We can try and meet for an hour to complete the fight, but it may be tricky, and fairly anti-climatic. I can offer you resolution by means of a short piece of fiction, posted through a board on Meet-up? Let me know how you all feel. Finally, thank you all for making what could have been almost impossible, into merely very very difficult. You guys did a great job as players, and I really enjoyed running this, even if I'd have prefered to take you all cl
Feb 4, 2012 4:01 PM - Capt_Dan: first, I'm really sorry we didn't get to the end of this, I doubt we could have though, even without dramatci interrputions. Jason, I'm really sorry we held you up, you should have said something, really. I hope you are okay. I'm very glad we nailed the Dragon fight, I think that was the most important thing, anyway.
Feb 2, 2012 8:58 AM - Tracy: I had a blast with this. That dragon fight truly felt Epic. The designers though should have just thrown out the squishy wizard that blew the horn and put the Winter Witch in that encounter. We might not have survived, but it would have increased the epicness.
Feb 2, 2012 7:57 AM - John McCullough: Good game everyone. It's a bummer we didn't finish of the witch yet, but that dragon fight was awesome!
Feb 1, 2012 7:35 PM - Jason P.: Thanks, man. If you guys want to finish off, B. Lo's Astral Seal is at +28 to hit Ref, -2 to all defenses and 8 hp to the first PC that hits the sealed monster. Sacred Flame is +26 to hit Ref. He only has Recall Ally left, no actual heals. Go to town.
Feb 1, 2012 5:46 PM - T Michael: Jason, sorry you felt so bad last night and today and I am glad you are feeling better. It was a pleasure and treat to play with you. Brother Love was super fun and effective. Best
Feb 1, 2012 5:43 PM - Jason P.: Sorry for being a grump towards the end last night. I was having a really rough time, health wise. I have chronic Lyme disease, which makes it really hard for me to play late. I get migranes, dizziness... I actually ended up missing work and going to the hospital for some tests. I'm ok, its totally my fault for trying to squeeze more gaming in so we could finish, I need to remember my limits. Anyway, suffice it to that that I won't be able to make another session. Sorry, guys. It was really fun.
Jan 31, 2012 2:55 PM - Capt_Dan: I'm robably going to be 10-15 minutes late as well. Just to be sure, this will be the final session! If you can survive the Dragon, just the Witch to kill...
Jan 31, 2012 2:35 PM - Vlad: Just as a reminder, I'll probably be about 20 minutes late. I'll try my best to get there quicker
Jan 25, 2012 1:38 PM - Tracy: Great game last night everyone. That was a 'blast'! Can't wait to continue with this epic dragon battle. :) Also, don't forget to vote! C_D deserves the points for DM'n this one.
Jan 22, 2012 8:45 PM - Jason P.: Arjen indeed took all the hits. The brothaman, however, would not exactly call Arjen's performance "defending". Hope you had a good time at B.Lo.'s love shack, big guy, cuz we need you!
Jan 22, 2012 12:11 PM - Tracy: Thank...(huff) you...(huff)Balthazar...(huff)! You...(huff) made...(huff) it...(huff) look...(huff) so...(huff) easy...(huff)...(huff). You...(huff) owe...(huff) me...(huff) a ...(huff) sandwich...(huff)...(wheeze)...(huff)
Jan 21, 2012 7:48 AM - T Michael: Based on field reports from Dan, Saint Balthazar is very proud of how his dragonborn brother Arjen stood upfront like a defender last week. Also very happy that Brother Love suggested that one week trip to the love spa. I am very refreshed and ready for combat.
Jan 16, 2012 10:11 PM - Tracy: ...(huff) I...(huff) suppose...(huff) that...(huff) will...(huff) suffice...(huff)...(huff)
Jan 16, 2012 7:59 PM - Kenny P: Do not fret, children. Mama Iridia shall summon the great Rainbow Serpent, Aida-Weddo, to aid us in our struggle. (it's a couatl, okay?!)
Jan 16, 2012 6:53 PM - Jason P.: Brotha Love love having Arjen around. He makes B. Lo. look like an olympic sprinter! Sorry you won't be there, man. Hope to see you there next time.
Jan 16, 2012 6:42 PM - Tracy: I'm...(huff) almost...(huff) a...(huff) defender...(huff). I'll...(huff) try...(huff) to...(huff) hold...(huff) the ...(huff) fort...(huff) down...(huff)...(huff) while...(huff) you're...(huff) gone...(huff). But...(huff) it...(huff) sucks...(huff) to...(huff) see...(huff) you...(huff) go...(huff)...(huff).
Jan 16, 2012 6:33 PM - T Michael: I apologize but I have just gotten a work assignment that will knock me out of playing tomorrow night. Hopefully, the party can persevere without Saint Balthazar for one episode.
Jan 16, 2012 11:31 AM - James L: It seems from general consensus the Campaign Games will use this houserule from now on: All Elites and Solos get an extra saving throw vs the Stunned/Dominated/Dazed conditions at the start of their turn. They get this save even if the effect isn't Save Ends. They get their full saving throw bonus to the save.
Jan 15, 2012 11:13 AM - James L: I put some proposed Houserules on the meetup site here http://www.meetup.com/NYC-DND/messages/boards/thread/19460192 if you guys want to go with those let me know. OR add some of your own proposals there.
Jan 13, 2012 1:26 AM - Jason P.: The whole lvl +6 vs. AC/ lvl +4 vs. NADs standard is actually an assumption that's baked into the game. Monsters are at lvl + 14 to AC/ lvl +12 to NADs, meaning in a vacuum, PCs are expected to hit on an 8. +hit is kind of bumpy, though, and only a rogue or something will hit it without Expertise (hence the tax). Like, no one will get a +hit at lvl 23 unless they get it from an item.
Jan 12, 2012 8:29 PM - Tracy: Yeah, Cha boost and Rogue Weapon Talent, and I wonder if that link was before they scaled all of the Expertise Feats to equal Focus Feats.
Jan 12, 2012 8:28 PM - Kenny P: Alas, I did not take Superior Implement Training (accurate). The extra +1 is from the epic destiny INT boost.
Jan 12, 2012 8:25 PM - Tracy: Well...(huff) that's... (huff) just... (huff) the... (huff) bee's... (huff) knees... (phew, wheeze, huffffff)
Jan 12, 2012 8:13 PM - T Michael: A very important thing for the party to remember is that Saint Balthazar has hero's poise which means, "When you succeed on a saving throw to end an effect, each ally that can see you within 5 squares of you gains a bonus to saving throws equal to your Charisma modifier until the start of your next turn." That is a +7 to your saving throws whenever I succeed on a save to end an effect!
Jan 12, 2012 7:40 PM - Jason P.: Holy crap, everyone else is above the curse. Accurate implements, I'm guessing?
Jan 12, 2012 6:36 PM - Vlad: +27 for me
Jan 12, 2012 6:30 PM - Tracy: I'm at +29 for all attacks (which is 1 lower than most rogues at my level). :)
Jan 12, 2012 4:14 PM - T Michael: Valiant Strike, which is also my MBA, is at least +30, my other melee powers are +29, and my ranged javelin is +28
Jan 12, 2012 2:13 PM - Kenny P: Iridia has a +27 vs NADs, a +16 melee basic, and a +18 ranged basic.
Jan 12, 2012 1:18 PM - Jason P.: Hey Dan, did you get my email through the meetup site? Let me know a better email if you don't get messages at that one.

In general, PCs should have lvl + 6 to attack AC and lvl +4 to attack Fort, Ref, and Will. Brother Love has exactly the latter, +26. I dunno if you've seen this, but here's Sly Flourish's excellent cheat sheet for monster math: http://slyflourish.com/master_dm_sheet.pdf

Jan 12, 2012 1:01 PM - Capt_Dan: (where Seagal never breaks a sweat) when it ought to be more like Die Hard. Heroes are only as good as their Villains...
Jan 12, 2012 1:00 PM - Capt_Dan: (From Earlier) The Marilith got in a good set of hits against the Paladin, though could have done more, but the Glabrezu never stood a chance, and spent most of the fight looking dopey and taking hits. I loved Olafs Triple Hammer strike, but I really think it needed the Glabrezu to come back with something equally hard, and that that would improve the game on a number of levels. As a mechanical challenge, I think it's lacking, right now, and as good story telling, it's like Under Seige 2 (where
Jan 12, 2012 12:57 PM - Capt_Dan: Finally, could everyone put up their typical attack bonus (Melee Basic/At-will etc.) so I can see what the numbers look like. I'm just curious to see if they are reasonable with Monster Def - I'm not likely to change anything on this basis.
Jan 12, 2012 12:55 PM - Capt_Dan: Here's what I think should happen then. Elites & Solo's should get to take Saves against any/all effects at the start of their turn - in lieu of the end of turn saves. No monster can be stunned for more than one round in any encounter, so after they've been stunned once, they can only be dazed. I think these seem fair, for now, and we'll see how they work out next week; this way, cool powers are still cool, but the monsters should still get in their hits as well.
Jan 12, 2012 12:51 PM - Capt_Dan: Here's what I think at the moment; the first enocunter we had went about right. The Ghosts had a cool Dominate trick, but I rolled low, so no issues there. The minions did exactly what they were supposed to which was force you to deal with them, without being a real danger, and you did a great job of tying up the Deathknight early, though stunning was a little annoying, it wasn't a real issue here. The second encounter I think was only a partial success. The Wall of Flames worked well, The Maril
Jan 12, 2012 11:32 AM - Jason P.: If there's more than just one moving part to fix, then I think we should use this time as a big playtest to shape whatever campaign game rules going forward, and in the meantime give the monsters some abilities so they have a fighting chance. The extra dwarf save v. prone is a good one for a brute, as is stand as a minor action for skirmishers. I posted a list of potential BBEG meta-powers below as well.
Jan 12, 2012 11:28 AM - Jason P.: Oooh, got some at-will prones at the other table? We had a couple of encounter prones chained together with dazes at our table as well. Besides being annoying for the DM, it hurts the immersion for me as a player when the big bad demon is flat on her ass and can only do one thing all the time.
Jan 12, 2012 10:42 AM - Tracy: I like that idea, that way it gives the monsters a better chance, but doesn't take away from players ability to try. I see on the other WotW board you posted a similar issue with knocking prone all the time. What about also adding to elites and solos the Dwarven Trait to roll a saving throw or get knocked prone?
Jan 12, 2012 9:10 AM - James L: You could take the WotC approach and fix it with feats. Give all Elites and Solos Superior Will just like the players. They would get to include their bonus to saving throws. It wouldn't apply to dragons who get to act twice. I'm all for making that a Campaign Games wide rule if you all agree.
Jan 11, 2012 3:46 PM - Jason P.: I'm honestly not comfortable with no stuns or any other change as just an in-table gentleman's agreement. If we can't do that for themes, hybrids, items, feats, or anything like that, then I'd rather just play it straight and rely on Dan to beef up the monsters as he sees fit.
Jan 11, 2012 3:44 PM - Jason P.: Well, I'd rather not do anything unless it becomes an actual Campaign Game houserule, either for the whole system or only for epic games. That's kind of where I was going, I'm sorry if I was unclear. T Michael indicated that your guys' home game played with no stuns, so I know you've given it some thought and playtest.
Jan 11, 2012 11:04 AM - James L: A simple fix might be, the only characters that can have an Encounter Stun power is a Controller. Plus, any Elite or Solo can remove any effect at the start of their turn with an action point. You haven't witnessed the immobilize effect on an Elite Melee Brute yet, it's just as bad as stun.
Jan 11, 2012 10:58 AM - James L: I'm not surprised to see after the first session, a discussion on stuns and effects that the epic players can load up on. I firmly believe stun-stun-stun is boring. There are too many available as Encounter powers to non-controllers. Elites and Solos have no chance.
Jan 11, 2012 2:24 AM - Kenny P: I only have 1 power that stuns in my spellbook, Ice Tomb (enc).

@Jason: I just read the stuff on the link you provided and I think they are cool stuff.
Jan 11, 2012 1:32 AM - Jason P.: That's true, Tracy. I'm totally fine with leaving my self-stun in the game and getting rid of the other ones.
Jan 11, 2012 1:07 AM - Tracy: I do think we have to really 'THINK' about the stun to daze thing. I mean are we talking only monsters, or players too...

If it's just monsters it shifts the balance, if its both it opens up opportunities for the pacifist cleric to use his other at-will and only be dazed. I just think we should consider it strongly before deciding.
Jan 11, 2012 12:57 AM - Tracy: C_D I loved the hit point tracking. I know its a lot of work for you but well done. It made things easier to track.
Jan 11, 2012 12:18 AM - Capt_Dan: Unless anyone does feel strongly, I will change stun to daze. Jason, I'll have a look at those powers and see if further encounters need to be ratcheted up. This was a baseline today, but being a hero is boring if it's easy. Also, how did everyone find the HP thing? Granted, it's more interesting if you're all fetters bloodied...
Jan 11, 2012 12:02 AM - Jason P.: While we're on the subject of buffing bad guys, I put together a list of powers that a bad guy might have to increase their threat level. These powers are definitely "handle with care", but they've been playtested and they work well. Some are from SlyFlourish.com, some are mine. http://excathedrablog.files.wordpress.com/2012/01/big-bad-evil-guy-metapowers.pdf
Jan 10, 2012 11:59 PM - Tracy: It...(huff)really...(huff) did...(huff) seem...(huff) to... (huff) slow...(huff) down...(huff) combat...(huff huff huff huff....)
Jan 10, 2012 11:52 PM - Jason P.: We talked about this after the game, but I would totally be cool with removing stun from these epic level mods, and turn them all to dazes. Not that I'm a fan of constant dazing, either, but that's better than the monsters just sitting there.
Jan 10, 2012 11:37 PM - Tracy: I hope everyone had a great time tonight. I had a blast playing my first go at epic level. Thanks C_D and James for running these....that being said, I owe the other table beer. I won't be late next time and we'll see if we can do better. :)
Jan 10, 2012 2:44 PM - Capt_Dan: Yes indeed
Jan 10, 2012 2:42 PM - T Michael: Just confirming Au Bon Gout (Fifth & 30th) at 7:00.
Jan 10, 2012 2:05 PM - Capt_Dan: All good - see in a few hours...
Jan 9, 2012 5:55 PM - Vlad: Because I like to do everything last minute..Confirmed. Nova Kree is a sorcerer from the City of Shade. Nova left the City a long time ago in pursuit of power that could not be found within the City's walls. Her search had finally led her to discover a ritual of lichdom that she had eagerly embraced, ascending to a new realm of existence. Empowered with new abilities, Nova is not ready to stop her quest for more knowledge.
Jan 9, 2012 4:23 PM - Jason P.: Looks like I'm gonna stick with my pacifist cleric. The one who, you know, does no damage. No way I'm putting that guy in a speed contest, in anything. B. Lo. prefers it sloooooow and steady, baby. Ow!
Jan 9, 2012 11:11 AM - Tracy: How about some friendly DnD competition with the other group playing this. Granted we have 6 players, but I think a contest to see who can complete it first would be fun. Whoever is the furthest along after each session has to buy the other group a 6 pack of beer at the next session. :)
Jan 7, 2012 1:55 PM - Jason P.: It would be great, however, if the powers that be just said that. A lot of the campaign gaming discussions seem to reduce to the following binary: you either love D&D for its interesting characters and challenging combats, or you're a dirty power gamer out to ruin everyone's fun but your own. Players who ask for themes (or whatever else) are not the latter, but they tend to be treated as such here. That's a little discouraging.
Jan 7, 2012 1:53 PM - Jason P.: The fact is, almost every theme except for a couple of standouts really add flavor and depth. But there are a couple of themes that break the power curve, like the ones I listed before. A flat ban on them is understandable in that context - it's much easier on the organizer and DMs to simply not have to wade through the options.
Jan 6, 2012 3:20 PM - Capt_Dan: @Jason, as long as they're both leaders, you can decide as we sit down for the first session - just put up the Skalds details as for the others so we hav ean idea who he is before we meet him (if we meet him). Brother Love seems to be known across the Plains...
Jan 6, 2012 3:19 PM - Capt_Dan: Aw man, now I have canned worms all over my thread... I personally like themes, but from a DM perspective, more is more and I think the players have too much now. If you're a scholar, declare yourself one, play it that way and the party will decide...
Jan 6, 2012 3:05 PM - James L: Tracy: If the outcome is determined by someone other than the player. Then it is no longer a "game" you are playing. You are experiencing a story. http://www.costik.com/nowords.html and let me tell you 4E stories f'ing suck, why would I want to spend hours and hours in combat if the outcome is pre-determined?
Jan 6, 2012 3:04 PM - T Michael: By introducing themes, the game designers opened up a new dimension of character development that is very cool and allows players more creativity. If you find seer problematic, nerf it like you did sage of ages. But calling a paladin a scholar without the theme benefits is making an unsubstantiated claim.
Jan 6, 2012 3:03 PM - Tracy: That being said, I have a hard time remembering my racial traits, themes are just one more thing to remember so unless it comes with a power on a printable card when I make my sheet I've got enough to think about and will forget anyway. Unless its a campaign where I'm playing the same character every week for a year...
Jan 6, 2012 3:01 PM - Tracy: I like this one: "It's fantasy, let everyone do whatever their imagination can come up with. The player is supposed to win, but not entitled to it. Let them have fun doing whatever they want but the DM can make adjustments if things stop becoming challenging for the players."
Jan 6, 2012 2:58 PM - Jason P.: And I am indeed a full pacifist cleric, Dan. Although I might be inclined to play my Pavarotti's son Skald bard. Both are leaders. By when would I have to let you know for sure?
Jan 6, 2012 2:57 PM - Kenny P: Sorry about that. Choosing a theme's become a habit.
Jan 6, 2012 2:55 PM - Jason P.: Most of the themes are great for flavor. I allow and encourage them in my home games. However, there's a short list of themes that really do push the power curve and are very powerful even at epic - Guardian, Hospitaler, Fey Beast Tamer, Sohei, maybe Noble Adept or something else I'm missing. I'm guessing the presence of those themes will lead the powers that be to keep things as is.
Jan 6, 2012 2:54 PM - James L: Compared to the philosophy of "A game is meant to be challenging, if there is no risk of loss, it is not fun to play" Those people care very much about balance. They also care about "adjustments by the DM" they consider that cheating. They wish to come to the table with proper odds of winning or losing. With the outcome determined by random dice and their own playing ability.
Jan 6, 2012 2:52 PM - James L: Instead of me going on and on. It's clear there is a philosophy of gamestyle difference. Some people play the game to enable their "it's all fantasy, let everyone do whatever their imagination can come up with. The player is supposed to win all the time, let them have fun doing whatever they want."
Jan 6, 2012 2:50 PM - James L: Fey Beast Tamer grants you an ally, for free, when it usually is a feat to get a familiar.
Jan 6, 2012 2:45 PM - James L: Themes all grant more power. Is it much? not really, but it can be. It also adds complications. The "Seer" does almost the same thing as "Dice of Auspicious Fortune" at level 1 with no cost.
Jan 6, 2012 2:43 PM - James L: If flavor is all your after just say "I'm a scholar" and be done with it. If you want the "power" that comes with the theme, then it's different. Themes obviously slant the power curve.
Jan 6, 2012 2:16 PM - T Michael: Dan is you stand on themes a personal DM one or based on James general rules? I would argue that James's ban was issued at a time when themes only applied to Dark Sun, but over the past few months, themes have been made a core part of D&D as a whole and even LFR as a campaign. Kenny and I both choose scholar which adds exceptional flavor without anything game breaking. I would request an exemption for this mod.
Jan 6, 2012 2:06 PM - Capt_Dan: Kenny, nice work - but no themes! Jason, I do know Brotha Love, I assume he's still a total pacifist..?
Jan 6, 2012 2:05 PM - T Michael: A party with two liches, two rival scholars, two dragonborn, and a love-drunk priest! What is a lawful good paladin to do?
Jan 6, 2012 1:16 PM - Kenny P: Confirmed. Iridia Eleri Vaerol: perfectly preserved female elf Wiz/Planeshifter/Archlich (Scholar theme); Death has not diminished Iridia's terrible beauty nor her voracious appetite for knowledge. Hailing from the shores of Aerenal, she has traveled far and wide with her trusty spectral familiar (sister) and loyal undead manservant (Lurch) by her side. Now with the weight of ages pressing upon her, she adventures again to stave off ennui. In other words, she's bored out of her phylactery!
Jan 5, 2012 5:57 PM - Jason P.: You have experienced the wonder that is B. Lo., Dan. Randy, baby, yeah!
Jan 5, 2012 3:17 PM - T Michael: Confirmed. Weighing in at 169 hit points, 40 AC, 40 Fort, 37 Reflex, and 40 Will and brandishing a bastard sword, Saint Balthazar is a lawful good dragonborn cavalier (Valiant Cavalier PP and Saint ED) who rides Argent, his celestial silver dragon, and has a coure attendant arcane familiar. He is a Scholar who knows all languages and follows the Path of Light because it offers a more philosophical and self-reliant approach to the universe.
Jan 5, 2012 1:14 PM - Tracy: Confirmed. Arjhan Montoyo is the giddiest rogue in town. He is a master of stories and obscure information. Unlike other rogues - Arjhan doesn't rely on finesse and stealth. He's as big around as he is tall and puts all his weight behind his well timed blows. Part of his studies involved anatomy at the bard's college in the Nentir Vale where he learned all the nice squishy parts to put a dagger into. He is a Daring Blade/Destined Scion.
Jan 5, 2012 7:50 AM - Capt_Dan: Hello all! I would be grateful if over the weekend everyone could do three things, confirm you're good for Tuesday, put up your Race, Class, Paragon Path and Epic Destiny and write a short capsule description of your character. Thank you!
Dec 28, 2011 1:40 PM - Kenny P: Lol. Jason, I hope Brotha Love brings the same brand of adventuring spirit as you did with the avenger. That was fun times.
Dec 28, 2011 1:31 PM - Jason P.: With his twin ladies Sune and Chauntea, the menage-a-Goddess, Brotha Love spreads the seed of love and life, baby. Be kind to little babies and old ladies, people, and the little animals that make everything look and sound and smell beautiful. Ow!
Dec 28, 2011 1:20 PM - Kenny P: Iridia Eleri is a dark elf, cold of heart and hot of temper. But she is no drow; calling her so would see you flayed alive.

Unaligned but not afraid to fight for a cause that is just.
Dec 28, 2011 12:36 PM - Tracy: Arjahn is a gentlemen and a scholar. He cracks skulls that need cracking only and will always pull his final punch if redemption seems to be a viable option. Good alligned but not afraid to get messy where required.
Dec 28, 2011 10:59 AM - T Michael: What is everyone's alignment? I want my cavalier/paladin consistent with the party.
Dec 27, 2011 10:23 PM - Tracy: 2 liches...we are an adventuring party of heroes right? lol
Dec 20, 2011 10:40 AM - Tracy: And we have the fiercest Dwarf in the world who is going to F*ck Sh*t up!
Dec 20, 2011 10:39 AM - Tracy: You need not worry. I think I have a striker than cannot be touched for DPR. :) However, I think rogues are alergic to soup.
Dec 20, 2011 10:15 AM - Jason P.: Cleric it is, then. I hope our two strikers are good at damage, because B. Lo. doesn't concern himself with such nonsense. He's like soup, makin' you feel all good inside, baby, yeah!
Dec 19, 2011 11:59 PM - Tracy: Nice Kenny! I still remember the Epic Save when you prevented the Succubus from escaping!
Dec 19, 2011 11:42 PM - Kenny P: wow, two liches. awesome!
Dec 19, 2011 11:41 PM - Kenny P: It's Iridia Eleri from the Demon Within.
Dec 19, 2011 11:33 PM - Jason P.: Hmmm... now I'm having second thoughts. Kenny, what kind of PC is a Baelnorn Lich, besides a lvl 15 elite controller monster? I'm assuming its a wizard. I have an enchanter mage ready to go that I love playing, but if you're already a wizard, then I'll stick to the uber-heals.
Dec 19, 2011 11:24 PM - Kenny P: Any relation to Murth, the Avenger of Love? :P
Dec 19, 2011 11:20 PM - Tracy: Well alrighty then. We are ready to roll! :p
Dec 19, 2011 11:12 PM - Jason P.: Ninja'ed! I'm bringing Brotha Love to the hizzouse, baby, making bodies feel good, ow!
Dec 19, 2011 10:59 PM - Tracy: lol, We don't have a leader... If someone wants me to, I will switch. I have a great leader in mind.
Dec 19, 2011 10:58 PM - Tracy: Correction to below...

And 1 defender.
Dec 19, 2011 10:57 PM - Tracy: So looking like either 4 strikers, 1 leader, 1 controller....or 3 strikers, 1 leader, 2 controllers. Very interesting...lol @Vlad email me at tjgingell@gmail.com (I was planning on bringing a Sorcerer and Rogue to the table and deciding at the time, I'm interested to know your build.)
Dec 12, 2011 10:26 AM - Capt_Dan: I've pushed this back one week so I can run my Delve at the beginning of January. Anyone interested in something a little different, I can strongly recommend it...
Dec 2, 2011 2:13 PM - Kenny P: uhoh, my secret's out. Yes, I am the Multiple Man. :P

I'll withdraw from the other one and hopefully remain here.
Dec 2, 2011 12:49 PM - Capt_Dan: Yeah someone left...
Dec 2, 2011 12:42 PM - Jason P.: I'm guessing that someone left this game and Kenny got bumped up without him knowing. Or that he really can bilocate. Who knows.
Dec 2, 2011 12:11 PM - Tracy: Hey kenny, you're committed to both games, you are talented.
Nov 30, 2011 11:55 AM - James L: Dan, I added a link to updated Solos, using the Monster Vault guidelines. Only you can see it under the adventure description above. Let me know if that's useful.
Nov 28, 2011 12:05 PM - Capt_Dan: Hello all, this is getting closer now, and there are two to choose! So, First, if anyone would prefer a different day, please say so now. Second, if anyone wants to Jump ship to James's game, please feel free, there are more than enough interested players. Potentially, we could run these games at the same time and place, if anyone thinks that's a good idea...
Nov 25, 2011 10:41 PM - James L: I'm offering a second game of Winter of the Witch, it's on the calendar for Wednesday. I could do either Tuesdays or Wednesdays.
Nov 23, 2011 5:09 PM - Capt_Dan: With this much interest, two looks like a good idea! We could have differently alligned parties, so people can work out which they'd fit in better...
Nov 23, 2011 8:35 AM - Jensen: Yes James, post up another Winter of the Witch. Would be awesome to have 2 running at the sametime
Nov 22, 2011 5:36 PM - Sean: That would be wonderful James. Clearly there's more demand here.
Nov 22, 2011 5:06 PM - Ross H: @James I'd definitely be down. I'm interested, but Tuesdays aren't great for me.
Nov 22, 2011 5:04 PM - James L: Is there enough demand for an Epic level adventure that another one should be offered? I've run this Winter of the Witch, so I could offer it or Tomb of Horrors (4E) the lvl 22 section, during the same time as this.
Nov 16, 2011 12:33 AM - Jason P.: Or maybe my dark sun refugee warlock...
Nov 16, 2011 12:32 AM - Jason P.: I was thinking of playing my cleric, Brotha Love, but if el Bardo is going to be rocking the heals then I think I might play a mage. Either an enchanter or summoner.
Nov 15, 2011 1:33 PM - Josh M.: ahh, Bargidigous is a bard. My dude was gonna be a bard multiclass cleric for extra healing oomph. And wings.
I can come up with something else though.
Nov 15, 2011 12:23 PM - Tracy: Ok cool, I wasn't sure what was what or who was who. I'm happy now.
Nov 15, 2011 12:21 PM - Jensen: Bargidigous is a bad ass bard
Nov 15, 2011 11:53 AM - Tracy: So Bargidigous is a Hunter right Chris? Josh what is a herald of Sune? I came up with an awesome leader if someone hasn't claimed it.
Nov 13, 2011 9:13 PM - John McCullough: Olaf smash!
Nov 13, 2011 11:16 AM - Tracy: Olaf's planning on showing me how a marauder should be played. lol
Nov 10, 2011 8:24 PM - Kenny P: Iridia Eleri's got some nasty tricks up her sleeves, some of which "heal" people. :D
Nov 10, 2011 5:43 PM - Capt_Dan: You guys don't need a leader, you're EPIC now. Two of you are undead, and that guy's riding a Dragon! I mean, it's not as if they scale the game or anything...
Nov 10, 2011 4:25 PM - Tracy: We should probably get a leader in here somewhere...lol
Nov 10, 2011 1:55 PM - T Michael: I would like to play my Dragonborn Cavalier, and at epic, cavaliers get to ride a silver dragon!
Nov 6, 2011 10:38 AM - Sean: Never tried epic level, this would be great!
Oct 17, 2011 4:33 PM - Romo: Tuesdays are great
Oct 17, 2011 2:16 PM - Tracy: Tuesday is a good day for me.
Sep 23, 2011 1:03 PM - Capt_Dan: So this is a pretty popular idea? I was going to run it on Tuesdays through January - does this work for everyone? Any other day better?
Sep 14, 2011 10:47 AM - Jason P.: Definitely interested. My knee surgery is around this time, though, so we'll see.
Sep 13, 2011 6:59 PM - Tracy: Totally interested! Awesome C_D!
Sep 12, 2011 4:33 PM - Capt_Dan: I thought it might be cool to run this in the New Year when the snow is high... If people are interested, let me know and we can see when this can be run for.
