Jan 6, 2015 11:41 AM - Capt_Dan: Okay, I've opened it up. Go sign up!
Jan 6, 2015 11:07 AM - Matt L.: hey dan! yea i'm in. I'll be by a computer for most of the day, so I'll keep a close eye on my email for notifications
Jan 6, 2015 11:01 AM - Capt_Dan: Matt - you're the only one from this game not in the new one. I'll assume you are in, and won't open it up again until nearer the time - or let me know through this board when you can sign on - or email me dan porsa @Hotmail .com
Jan 3, 2015 8:36 PM - Capt_Dan: Hey all, quick heads up -I'll list the second part of this game tomorrow from 12pm, and close it that afternoon, or when everyone's in. I can 're-open' it another date for anyone who can't make that window, and I can always handle one extra player.
Nov 22, 2014 1:35 PM - Matt L.: awesome, thanks!
Nov 22, 2014 1:34 PM - Capt_Dan: Hi! I'll run the second part in the new year, I'll give you all a heads up on this forum when I'm posting it, so you all have a fair chance of getting in. If necessary, I'll run for six players.
Nov 22, 2014 12:49 PM - Matt L.: hey guys, what did we decide on doing for continuation of this campaign? I can't remember!
Oct 21, 2014 6:45 PM - Rob R: running late. Had to take care of a problem that popped up. should be there around 7:30
Oct 21, 2014 5:25 PM - Capt_Dan: No, not here - I dropped one session, 'cause you're moving fast, but that's it. At some point, I'll put up the second part of this, but I'll give you all advance warning when I do.
Oct 21, 2014 4:30 PM - Matt L.: Dan, you mentioned a schedule change for this particular campaign or was it for the second part? I remember you mentioning something of it, but I don't recall the specifics.
Oct 16, 2014 3:54 PM - AVacc: FYI - I put up a short adventure to fill the time between Horde Part one and Part 2 - See Glitterdoom in the campaign schedule
Oct 16, 2014 3:53 PM - AVacc: I guess there is no more forum on the site - That true James?
Oct 14, 2014 2:52 PM - AVacc: I'll be there with bells on
Oct 14, 2014 1:28 PM - Rob R: See everyone tonight
Oct 6, 2014 9:02 PM - Capt_Dan: 1. thanks for the details guys, you'll like what I do with them!

2. I am afraid I have a bit of business that's going to keep me slightly late tomorrow night, so to give everyone a chance to plan accordingly, we will start at EIGHT PM. Thanks.
Oct 6, 2014 7:06 PM - Matt L.: Wismer, Dwarf Priest, 18, -1, 13
Oct 6, 2014 6:46 PM - Vlad: Karsus, Human Warlock, 14, +2, 11
Oct 6, 2014 6:36 PM - Rob R: Bear, Half-Elf Barbarian, 17, +2, 12
Oct 4, 2014 12:39 AM - Kyle: Artuga, Bronze Dragonborn Monk, 15, +3, 11
Oct 3, 2014 11:07 PM - AVacc: | Zed | Human Fighter | 18 | +1 | 12 |
Oct 3, 2014 10:57 PM - Capt_Dan: Guys, do me a favor; please post up character name, race/class, AC, Init mod, and Passive Perception stats here. Thanks.
Oct 2, 2014 9:07 AM - AVacc: Is it Tuesday, yet?
Oct 1, 2014 12:11 PM - AVacc: Really good! I had a blast.
Oct 1, 2014 12:06 PM - Rob R: Good times. Thanks all.
Oct 1, 2014 12:06 PM - Rob R: Good times. Thanks all.
Sep 30, 2014 5:19 PM - Capt_Dan: No problem, I'll bring the pre-gens, too.
Sep 30, 2014 4:14 PM - Matt L.: I would need one. Are there pre-gen character sheets floating about that I could snag and print off (that are also current - the D&D next ones I have are outdated).
Sep 30, 2014 3:11 PM - Capt_Dan: One last thing, would anyone like me to bring a mini, or selection, for their character tonight?
Sep 30, 2014 2:04 PM - Capt_Dan: @Matt - it does not, i'm afraid. But there are a number of Starbucks locations nearby that do; corner of 42 and sixth, and ~50 & seventh, off the top of my head. And yes, 7:15, or thereabouts.
Sep 30, 2014 12:12 PM - Matt L.: Does cranberry cafe have wifi? I may head there a couple hours early and do some work.
Sep 30, 2014 9:42 AM - AVacc: So excite.
Sep 30, 2014 8:50 AM - Vlad: 7:15 pm tonight, right?
Sep 29, 2014 1:47 PM - Capt_Dan: Hello! Sorry, long difficult week. Yes, Matt you're in, Yes we play at CRANBERRY CAFE - W45, justWest of sixth Ave.
Sep 29, 2014 9:33 AM - Matt L.: Has anyone spoken to Dan? Just want to make sure this is on so I can cancel this thing that I was going to tomorrow night (and get my money back in time).
Sep 29, 2014 9:30 AM - Rob R: If I were to guess - I would say probably Cranberry Cafe on W45
Sep 28, 2014 9:15 PM - Kyle: Any word on the location? I'm assuming Citi Center but I don't want to assume.
Sep 27, 2014 9:49 PM - Rob R: Just for planning purposes, my pc has picked up the use of thieve's tools in his past
Sep 26, 2014 12:42 PM - Matt L.: Just noticed that I am no longer wait-listed. I'm able to do it, but I want to make sure that it'll be happening this coming Tuesday so I can plan appropriately.
Sep 24, 2014 1:49 PM - AVacc: Where will we be playing?
Sep 12, 2014 11:43 PM - Mat T: Not that I'm in this game or anything, but I recommend a healer...or two...
Sep 10, 2014 2:36 PM - Capt_Dan: ...Yes
Sep 8, 2014 7:11 AM - Kyle: Just so it's clear, the first session is the 30th right? Cuz the main page says it's still next week. Also, I very much acknowledge the squishiness of my monk, and will def be elusive yet abusive.....
Sep 4, 2014 10:13 AM - AVacc: Heh squishy...
Sep 4, 2014 10:09 AM - Rob R: Stick and Move...... Stick and Move..........
Sep 4, 2014 9:57 AM - Capt_Dan: word of warning; I've seen it a few times now - Monks are very, very squishy. If you wish to stick with that, make sure you've built them as well as possible, and compare them to other builds...
Aug 20, 2014 10:21 PM - Capt_Dan: So, first half it is.
Aug 20, 2014 9:41 PM - Kyle: I'm inclined to say the first half. Someone can (hopefully) take over or we just end it there. I agree with Rob on the second half thing.
Aug 20, 2014 4:42 PM - AVacc: Let's get through the beginning. I can proly run the second half... (as long as the consensus is to start at the beginning) - Thanks Captain Dan
Aug 20, 2014 4:13 PM - Capt_Dan: It's a very big adventure! it goes from L1 - L7/8. If I don't run the second half here, I'l likely run the second half in the new year anyway; but there'll be two tables of players looking at it, I think...
Aug 20, 2014 4:11 PM - Capt_Dan: Art - whole thing is easily 12+ sessions, and I can't commit to that. At the moment, it's 1 each way...
Aug 20, 2014 4:11 PM - DancerDan: I agree with Rob -- prefer first half. Why is it that we can do only half?
Aug 20, 2014 3:24 PM - Rob R: My preference is the first half. Maybe someone can jump in and run the second half. Either way, it's hard to go back and play something when you know how it ends.
Aug 20, 2014 2:10 PM - Vlad: If only half is available, I think I would vote for the 2nd half (L4 onward)
Aug 20, 2014 2:07 PM - AVacc: I am inclined to do the whole thing if you are good running it. I got my PHB yesterday and I am very excited about 5E.
Aug 20, 2014 1:57 PM - Capt_Dan: Okay all, I've pushed this out now to give a realistic start time. One question - we can only do half this adventure; do you want to do the first half, or the second (starting at L4?) your choice as players. majority vote takes it.
Aug 13, 2014 3:01 PM - Capt_Dan: Kyle - should work great.
Aug 11, 2014 7:00 AM - Kyle: I was going to go with a Dragonborn Monk.
Aug 8, 2014 8:29 PM - Capt_Dan: Though I know by the time we start, several of you will already be deep into the PHB; just bring your copy and notes on whatever build you're going with.
Aug 8, 2014 8:27 PM - Capt_Dan: Character Options: Human, Elf, Dwarf, Hafling - then Half-Elf, Half-Orc, Dragonborn or Tiefling. Classes: Barbarian, Bard, Cleric, Druid, Fighter, Monk, Paladin, Ranger, Rogue, Sorceror, Warlock, Wizard. Let me know what you'd like, so I can have the necessary elements prep'd. No restrictions, don't worry about party balance (though at least one Cleric/druid is better...)
Aug 8, 2014 8:26 PM - Capt_Dan: So, the PHB is out, and I now have a copy. The first part of the first session will be Char Creation - it isn't hard, so worth spending a half hour on. By all means, bring a concept and notes, but we'll all build characters together.
Aug 4, 2014 11:45 AM - Capt_Dan: for info - Bards! http://www.d20monkey.com/2014/07/28/the-bard/
Aug 4, 2014 8:07 AM - Capt_Dan: Just move across. As it stands, you'd push DancerDan off the bottom of the other game, but he's move up into this one, so it happens automatically, the points are there for people to take priority, so don't worry about using them. It isn't even short notice.
Aug 3, 2014 11:11 PM - Eugenio: Dan- I just found out that I'm not gonna be able to play much during the week for all of October. Would it be ok if I switched to the August run and one of those people who were on this waiting list moved to this game? I hate to be a pain, but I know 2 weeks won't be enough to get through the whole adventure.
Jul 31, 2014 10:18 AM - Capt_Dan: Okay, everybody already in this game, stay calm, and stay here. I'm going to push it out a little bit to fit Rob's game in first. Alongside that, I'm going to open a second version to run in late August (when this was going to) - so everyone in the queue, you may wish to go there...
Jul 30, 2014 9:53 AM - Mat T: I picked up the Starter Set this weekend. Once I get a chance to go through it I may be posting a new game :)
Jul 30, 2014 8:58 AM - Capt_Dan: Wow, there is a lot of interest... 'Need more games' folks...
Jul 30, 2014 7:28 AM - Mat T: You can, but with 3 points (the new user amount) you won't get into this game, since everyone currently in has 4 or more.
Jul 30, 2014 6:21 AM - Tyranik: Can I join if I am not familiar with 5e?
Jul 24, 2014 2:50 PM - Capt_Dan: For those on the interested list here - I'm running a second night of the D&D starter set - it's a great adventure, and a lot of fun.
Jul 6, 2014 9:43 PM - Capt_Dan: Fyi - the full - FREE - basic rules, from WOTC.
Jun 12, 2014 9:16 PM - Kyle: I should have the ins and outs on Next down by August. DRAGONS!!! Wheeeeeee!!!!
Jun 11, 2014 1:20 PM - Capt_Dan: I will run this first adventure asap from publishing, and whenever Rob's game ends.
