Oct 5, 2013 11:20 AM - Max Ximenez: I'm unfortunately running late- hopefully no more than 10-15 min. If that'd be a problem, don't wait for me.
Oct 3, 2013 8:03 AM - Max Ximenez: I'll be bringing my laptop which has both the character creator software and almost all of the books, so if you don't grok the pre-generated guys I'll be taking with me, I can probably help you guys whip something up in about a half hour.

If you'd like, fire me off an email at maximilian.ximenez@gmail.com and I can walk you through creating a character in advance.
Oct 3, 2013 7:17 AM - Brad: Fizzies, we'll be playing 4th edition, so don't make characters using those old rules. Max says he'll have a few characters, and I'll bring some you can choose from. Try to arrive early so I can teach you the rules of the edition of D&D we'll be playing.
Oct 3, 2013 6:08 AM - Fizzies: Hi, As HobbitGirl explained, she and I have played D&D before, just an old version. We have player handbooks, but they are from 1978 -- I am guessing that this would be 1st edition AD&D, but not sure. Our previous DM also used the old paperback boxed set. We could role up characters based on these books with additional guidelines/modifications from you (the DM) or adapt your pre-rolled characters. And like you said, we will try to arrive a little early if we are able to.
Thanks
Oct 1, 2013 7:54 PM - Brad: Other than Drow Cleric Warpriest and Halfling Thief, I don't know what the others are playing, so bring 'em all.
Oct 1, 2013 7:41 PM - Max Ximenez: Alright, cool. Are you in need of any roles in particular? I've got a leader and a few strikers I'm partial to, but I also have a controller and defender on the backburner.
Oct 1, 2013 7:39 PM - Brad: Max, Anything goes as far as characters. Great if you can bring a few. And it's basically a one-shot. There was a loosely-related part one hat some of us played last time, but no, we did not level from 1-7.
Oct 1, 2013 7:07 PM - Max Ximenez: Hey, I might be interested in playing this. I've got a little bit of 4e experience under my belt- I'll be bringing a few prepared characters with me, but do you have any specific needs for the group?

This is a one-shot, right, so I like, didn't miss you guys leveling from 1 to 7?
Oct 1, 2013 1:40 PM - Brad: Tim, sounds good!
Sep 30, 2013 7:16 PM - Tim: Brad, we can bring level 7's, no need to change the game. They will be different characters, I will bring a Drow Cleric Warpriest and Mary will bring Halfling Thief.
Sep 30, 2013 11:47 AM - Brad: Hobbit girl, I'll bring pre-generated characters you and Fizzies can choose from. Is there a particular class and/or race you'd like to play? As for the rules, if you two can show up 20 or 30 minutwes early on Saturday I'll do a quick how-to-play with you both. As for how to prepare, I don't suppose you have a 4th edition Players Handbook, do you? I can send you pdfs of the characters you'd like to play in advance so you can look them over.
Sep 29, 2013 8:46 PM - Hobbit Girl: H brad : ), This Hobbit girl ; Fizzies and I are new to this game and rules; can you please post a scenario of this " world" and what we need to do to prepare? we have only played D&D basic ,many long years ago without a "module" etc. the DM created the world we played; We rolled up character sheets, chose a race and "profession" (thief or Magic, etc.) and engaged in melee as per his world . there were adventures, fights, character interactions-- and riddles. we used figurines and maps, dice...
Sep 29, 2013 6:48 PM - Brad: Tim, I'd prefer 7th, if it's not too much trouble, because I wrote the scenario for 7th level characters. If you're not sure how to drop the characters a level, I can upgrade the thing to 8th. Let me know, please.
Sep 28, 2013 11:04 PM - Tim: We can, they were pre-generated. They only have 8's available for the next level. Are 8's ok, or is there an easy way to bring them down a level?
Sep 27, 2013 12:04 PM - Brad: Are you two going to play the same characters?
Sep 27, 2013 11:56 AM - Tim: Sounds good, thanks!
Sep 27, 2013 11:54 AM - Brad: Tim,
yes, it's part 2, though it works as a stand-alone as well.
Sep 27, 2013 11:53 AM - Tim: Brad, is this related to the game you ran in Sept? Either way, Mary and I look forward to it!
Sep 22, 2013 10:15 AM - Brad: You're in!
Sep 22, 2013 9:26 AM - Hobbit Girl: HI everyone : ) would love to play!
